You can ask us to act on your personal data, or raise any complaint about Reach, about content on a Reach-hosted site, or about this or any other policy, by writing to our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days.

The Grievance Officer is appointed under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and is also our contact for data protection questions under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

  1. Access. A summary of the personal data we process about you, and the identities of those we have shared it with.
  2. Correction and updating. Correct inaccurate or misleading data, and complete or update data that is incomplete or out of date.
  3. Erasure. Ask us to delete data that is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  4. Withdraw consent. At any time, and as easily as you gave it. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully, and we may not be able to continue a service that needs the data.
  5. Grievance redressal. A prompt and reasoned reply to any complaint.
  6. Nominate. Name another person to exercise your rights on your behalf if you die or cannot act for yourself.

How to make a request

  1. Email support@reach.bz from your registered email address, or call the Grievance Officer. Say which right you want to use, or what your complaint is, and give the data, page or account concerned.
  2. We may ask for details to confirm your identity, so that we do not act on a request from someone else.
  3. We acknowledge within 24 hours and respond within 15 days. If a request is complex, we will tell you why and give a revised date, no later than 30 days.
  4. If we cannot do what you ask, we will give the reason in writing.

Many account details can be changed by you directly in your Reach dashboard.

If you are a visitor or customer of a Client's website

The business that owns the website is the Data Fiduciary for your data, and your request should go to that business. You may also write to us, and we will pass the request to the owner and help them respond.

Reporting content on a Reach-hosted site

To report unlawful, infringing or harmful content, email support@reach.bz with:

  • the page address;
  • what is wrong with it, and under what law or right;
  • supporting evidence, such as screenshots;
  • your name and contact details.

We may share the complaint with the Client so that they can respond, and we may act at our discretion, including removing content or suspending an account. We may also act against anyone who makes frivolous or bad-faith complaints.

Escalation

If you are not satisfied with our reply, or we do not reply in time:

  • Data protection: you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, once the Board's process is in force, after first using our grievance process.
  • Consumer complaints: you may approach the National Consumer Helpline on 1915, or the consumer commission with jurisdiction.
  • Complaints about goods or services sold by a Client: these are between you and that business. We will pass your complaint on, but we are not the seller.

Any dispute with us is subject to the laws of India and the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
